Later, Daniel visited Krystle to say goodbye. He didn't believe that she loved Blake, proclaiming again that he loved her and he would return for her. Blake returned home and was greeted by Krystle. 2002:As the World Turns aired Valentine's Day special. Reminiscent of an old film, the program was divided into acts with silent-movie-style intertitles. The featured couples were each presented with a brief clip of video and a caption: Katie and Simon; Margo and Tom; Holden and Lily; Bonnie and Isaac; Bob and Kim; Carly and Craig; Paul and Rose; Abigail and Adam; Jake and Molly; and Lisa and "her men." Nancy (Helen Wagner) went through an old box of Valentine's Day cards and had warm memories of her husband, Chris. Katie and Simon had a fantasy about the future, where Katie was a glamorous star and Simon was a lowly musician. Both Craig and Jack fantasized about Carly. Abigail and Adam gazed out at the night sky and wished on shooting stars. Lucy wrote in her diary and daydreamed about the meaning of love. Lily and Holden read Valentine's Day cards in bed. In a fantasy vignette, Bonnie was a Cinderella character who fit Prince Isaac's glass slipper. Lisa danced on a stage with hunky representations of her numerous husbands. Paul had a dream that Rose was home with him again. Tom gave Margo a surprise at work, and the couple daydreamed that they were dancing at a disco club. Jake met Molly at the restaurant where they first kissed. Bob and Kim talked about their loving relationship.

Ron Carlivati and the winning writing team from General Hospital.
On Saturday, February 13, the writing team from ABC soap opera General Hospital took home its second consecutive WGA Award, led by former head writer Ron Carlivati, who had plenty to say in his acceptance speech. The winning episode was from GH's 52nd anniversary last April revolving around Anthony Geary's iconic character, Luke Spencer.

"We told an original story about one of the most popular characters on daytime television," Carlivati explained. "At the time the actor who played him told me it was his favorite story line of his entire thirty-seven-year run on the show. Shortly after this, however, he became disenchanted with my writing, and for some strange reason refused to acknowledge that we ever even met, referring to me in interviews as only as 'the writer'. Apparently this is supposed to be some kind of insult but I'm sure my fellow writers standing on the stage, and probably most you in this room, would agree I consider being called a writer to be a badge of honor. So thank you to him for that, and thank you the Writers Guild for this."

Watch Carlivati's speech below.
