Jen Lilley is returning to NBC soap opera Days of our Lives as Theresa Donovan, according to Soap Opera Digest.

When she left Days in November 2016, Lilley told Digest she’d be open to a return.

“I would definitely go back to Days of our Lives and play Theresa," she said. "I would be devastated if they recast the character without calling me first. I would love to reprise that role. In a perfect world, I would keep playing Theresa, just like how Eileen Davidson [Ashley, Y&R] has played Kristen. I would come back and do some arcs. That would be amazing. I know they say never say never, but if I were ever on a soap, it would be Days, because that’s really where I found a home.”

Lilley's Theresa will make her return in May 2018.

Season 6 of CMT primtime serial Nashville kicks off on January 4, 2018. On Friday, CMT announced Friday that the upcoming sixth season will be the country music drama's last.

"All of us on Nashville are so incredibly grateful to the show’s fans, who convinced CMT to give us a chance to keep telling the story of these remarkable characters," executive producer Marshall Herskovitz said via statement. "And we want to return the favor with a final season that celebrates all the joys and passions, twists and turns — and amazing music! — that made Nashville such an exciting journey for the last six years."

CMT picked up Nashville after the series was canceled by ABC following Season 4.

"After more than 120 episodes of unforgettable television, we believe that creatively it is time for the series to come to its triumphant close at the end of the upcoming season," Kevin Beggs, chairman of Lionsgate Television Group, said in a statement. "We’re very proud of our incredibly talented cast and crew, the creative brilliance of our showrunners, and the loyal support of our great partners at CMT, Hulu and ABC Studios. Most importantly, we owe a special debt of thanks to the Nashville fans who propelled the series to an incredible run. We owe it to them to make the sixth season the most exciting and memorable of all."

Tony Award winning actress and former soap opera star Ann Wedgeworth passed away on Thursday. She was 83.

After playing Marie Warren and, later, Angie Talbot on CBS soap The Edge of Night, Wedgeworth moved to NBC's Another World in 1967 to create the role of Lahoma Vane. In March 1970, Lahoma and her husband, Sam Lucas, left Bay City for the spin-off series Somerset. Wedgeworth left Somerset in September 1973.

In a 1980 People magazine interview, Wedgeworth described her six years in the soaps as "dreary and horrible".

She went on to win a Tony Award in 1978 for her work in "Chapter Two," and later memorably played Lana Shields on ABC's hit sitcom Three's Company.

Wedgeworth's numerous other TV credits included Filthy Rich, Evening Shade, One Life to Live (as Charlie Barnes), Roseanne and Trapper John, M.D.

Her movie appearances included Scarecrow, Steel Magnolias, Love and a .45, Hard Promises and Made in Heaven.
