Rebecca Herbst Leaving 'General Hospital'?

According to Daytime Confidential's Jamey Gidden, General Hospital star Rebecca Herbst (Elizabeth Webber) has reached an impasse in her contract negotiations with the ABC soap. In addition, rumors are swirling that NBC's Days of our Lives is interested in adding Herbsts to their cast.

Herbst originally auditioned for the role of Sarah Webber, but General Hospital created the role of Elizabeth Webber for her to play instead. She debuted in 1997 and became so popular that when ABC announced in 2011 that Herbst would be leaving the soap, a fan protest reversed their decision. Will she really leave for good this time?
