Daytime Emmy winner Chloe Lanier (Nelle) is leaving ABC soap opera General Hospital and the role of Nelle. The actress has decided to embark on a primetime and film career and opted not to renew her contract. According to sources, this is Lanier's last week of taping.Lanier first appeared on GH as a young Patricia Spencer, big sister to Luke (Anthony Geary) and Bobbie (Jackie Zeman), in a special 2015 flashback storyline. Her work was so highly regarded, the soap created a new role for her.
In 2016, Lanier debuted as Janelle "Nelle" Hayes, the secret stepsister of Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright).
