Miles Gaston Villanueva Joins 'The Young and the Restless' as Luca Santori

Miles Gaston Villanueva has joined the cast of CBS soap opera The Young and the Restless. According to Soap Opera Digest, he will be playing Luca Santori, who is described as "strong-willed, confident and charismatic."

Villanueva received his B.A. in Theatre Arts at California State University, Fresno.

He was previously on Y&R in September 2013 playing Father Martin, who helped Nikki and Paul in the search for her long-lost child. He also recurred on Days of our Lives last year as Russ, JJ's community service supervisor.

Villanueva has also appeared in primetime series Chasing Life, Melissa & Joey, NCIS and Bones. His numerous theatre credits include "Water by the Spoonful" (Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts), "Come Back, Little Sheba" (A Noise Within -Pasadena) and "Tortilla Curtain" (Lyceum Stage Theatre).

Villanueva is scheduled to make his debut as Luca on September 16.
